Petaluma Fair 2025

Join us at the Petaluma Fairgrounds from June 19-22, 2025!

”Country Nights & Carnival Lights,” will be the theme of this year’s Petaluma Fair, encapsulating the experience of enjoying the fair-time offerings on a summer night at the Fairgrounds, which will be held on June 19-22.

This year's event will shine a spotlight on our incredible community and offer both traditional and brand new-programming, including:

  • Carnival rides and all your favorite Fair foods,
  • Livestock and still exhibits, honoring both our agricultural history and the future of farming,
  • A full musical line-up including Country, R&B, Latin, Pop, Americana, and Brass musicians, plus Play Marimba featuring students from Petaluma City Schools,
  • The Good Earth Grove, a showcase of sustainable living and green inspiration,
  • Live metal forging,
  • Play Dog Play’s Pup-Palooza dog costume contest,
  • Stirring dances from the Sonoma County Pomo Indians, the vibrant steps of Ballet Paquiyollotzin Folklórico, and the lively rhythms of the Kennan Irish Dancers,
  • Acrobats, jugglers, hypnotists, balloon twisters, accordion players, storytellers, and live painters,
  • Plus, the Demolition Derby, returning to the Petaluma Speedway after nearly a decade!

More information will be available as the Fair approaches -- so stay tuned for the full Schedule of Events coming in late May!

New Partnership for the Petaluma Fair

This year, the City and the 4th District Agricultural Association (DAA) will partner to present the annual fair, which allows the DAA to focus on the agricultural programming and exhibits, while the City will manage the carnival and other fair offerings. The agreement is a result of conversations between City and the DAA over several months, in which both parties worked to meet each others’ needs to ensure the continuance of Petaluma’s beloved Fair.

“We are grateful to the DAA for the way they have championed our agricultural community for over eight decades. This agreement will allow them to more closely focus on their mission to promote and preserve the agricultural heritage of Sonoma and Marin Counties,” said City Manager Peggy Flynn. “Our City team is already working hard behind the scenes to ready the property for Fair visitors, the carnival, and all of the wonderful programs our community has come to love and expect at the Petaluma Fair.”
