The project will remove and replace existing sewer main lines on B Street, E Street, 5th Street and Hinman Lane. The project will also include upgrading an existing water main for fire flow capacity, and pavement rehabilitation on all impacted streets.
Project Manager: Dan Herrera, Senior Civil Engineer
During final paving, newly paved roads will continue to be closed to all traffic during construction. All traffic restrictions will be posted for drivers with signage. Ingress and egress to homes and businesses will be maintained. Drivers are recommended to use surrounding streets to navigate around downtown.
Update: February 20, 2020
The Sewer Main, Water Main, and ADA ramp installation work has been completed along B Street between 4th Street and Post Street. Grinding, paving, and striping operations will commence on Monday, February 24th through the end of the week. Access to the area will be very limited and signage showing detour routes will be installed. No parking signs will be installed to facilitate the pavement operations. During paving operations, access to the roadway will be prohibited. The affected locations are along B Street from 4th Street to Post Street, along E Street from 6th Street to 7th Street, along 5th Street from D Street to B Street, and Hinman Lane from B Street. It is best to avoid these areas if possible. Local access to homes and business will be permitted, but during pavement installation, this access will be eliminated until the pavement is determined to be safe to drive on.
Notices will be provided to residents and business in the area by the Contractor with further information. If you have any other questions, please contact the City’s project manager, Dan Herrera. We appreciate your patience during this time.
