Planting Day at Miwok Park
Daily Acts is excited to plant a pollinator hedgerow at Miwok Park, and they need your help! Not only will the plants be drought tolerant and ecologically beneficial, but they will look beautiful too. These pollinator hedgerows will absorb carbon from the atmosphere, hold water in their roots, and provide a space for pollinators such as bees, butterflies, birds, and moths to flourish.
In November, ReLeaf Petaluma planted 77 native trees at Miwok Park and School, and now’s our chance to add even more biodiversity to this landscape. A partner of Daily Acts, Conservation Corps North Bay, will prepare the grounds by sheet mulching to compost the lawn in place and retrofit the irrigation to make sure the new plants flourish.
In partnership with Rebuilding Petaluma, Daily Acts also be giving away t-shirts to all volunteers who attend! Go HERE to register.
