Artist Ryan Petersen will paint a vibrant, colorful, large-scale mural on the Telephone Alley wall of the Keller Street Parking Garage in November and December 2020.
Ryan is an artist from Petaluma. His mural design is an abstract landscape of Petaluma and Sonoma County. The warm colors suggest a sunset that glows over rolling hills inspired by our local landscape. Influences of nature and other native elements were incorporated into the design.
The mural was commissioned by the City of Petaluma's Public Art Committee to help beautify the downtown streetscape and contribute to an engaging environment for residents and visitors. It will also serve as an inspired, uplifting remedy to unsightly graffiti.
Ryan observes, “I am a local artist with a passion to beautify my hometown, support local business, and provide welcoming and safe spaces for the people who live and visit here.”
