Project Description:
111 Petaluma Boulevard North is a three-story building with commercial fronts beneath an architectural awning. The building is owned by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. I.O.O.F. Lodge #30 at 111 Petaluma Boulevard and is a significant historic structure within the Petaluma Commercial Historic District. Originally called “The Odd Fellows Hall,” it contains historic storefronts at 107-113 Petaluma Boulevard.

The initial phase of the project includes a full inspection to identify locations and quantify the repair scope. An encroachment permit for the installation of scaffolding has been issued to access the façade for the inspection. The repair scope initially includes (1) minor, non-structural carpentry repairs for wood trim including dry-rot repairs at windows and dormers, (2) sheet metal rust repairs at the mansard roof above and surrounding the dormers, (3) sheet metal restoration at water tables above cornices and surrounding windowsills, (4) repair of all miscellaneous sheet metal, (5) cement plaster repairs at various locations including ornamental details, (6) paint removal of sheet metal where needed for a new coating system, (7) general paint preparation includes sealants, patching, filling of holes and cracks, (8) appropriate coatings systems for all substrates, and (9) a new roof for the sidewalk canopy.

The full inspection will start in early April 2025. The projected duration of the project is six months. Following the results of the inspection, the determination of appropriate building permits and a discretionary Minor HSPAR application will be assessed.
