We are dedicated to a thorough and transparent process in selecting our next police chief. Our approach involves multiple stages, ensuring that we choose a leader who not only meets the highest professional standards but also resonates with the values and needs of our Petaluma community. Our search for a new police chief begins with you. We want to know from you what qualities and characteristics are most important for our next police chief. We also want to know what you see as the most important challenges and issues that will be facing our new police chief. We will be working through the end of this year gathering community feedback and will open the recruitment in January.
