This project will amend the City’s current wireless telecommunications ordinance to update the requirements for applications and installation of wireless telecommunication facilities. The update will allow the City Council to quickly and efficiently adopt administrative policies that provide clear procedures for small wireless facilities, eligible facilities requests and emergency standby generator applications and deployment in a fast-changing field. This update is necessary to protect public health, safety, welfare, and aesthetic interests of the City.
