OFFICE CLOSED THROUGH May 3
To limit the spread of the coronavirus, the City of Petaluma has moved to an “essential services” operational model from March 17 to May 3. During that time, all City buildings, including the Finance Office at City Hall, will be closed to the public. All City Departments will be working at reduced staffing levels and will be providing ESSENTIAL SERVICES ONLY, primarily through e-mail and phone.Also, fees associated with processing electronic payments for business licenses, utility bills, and encroachment and building permits will be waived through June 15, 2020.
WHAT WE DO
The Finance Department is committed to providing accurate and timely budgeting and reporting, clear and concise information delivery and support to City departments, citizens and the community. We are dedicated to a service-oriented team approach to providing financial information that meets fiduciary and regulation responsibilities all in the spirit of financial transparency.
The Finance Department provides financial management and accounting services to City operations as well as the business community and public. Services include budgeting and financial planning, financial reporting and accounting, utility billing, revenue collection, debt management, tax program administration, investments, payroll administration and disbursements.
Corey Garberolio, Director of Finance has been employed by the City since 2009 and has served in prior roles in the department including Principal Financial Analyst and Accountant. Corey has nearly 20 years of experience working in the government sector and municipal finance. Corey also has experience in the private sector working in both the corporate and farming industries.
