Bathroom Hangers 6-9

The Bathroom Hangers 6-9 project addresses the need of a bathroom facility serving the hangers at the south end of the airfield. This project will install a single American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant restroom facility near Hangers 6-9.

D St. Bridge Improvements

The D Street bridge requires the replacement and programming of electrical equipment for continual bridge operation.

Traffic Signal Installation

This project will design and construct two new traffic signals at D Street and Copeland Street and Caulfield Lane at Hopper street. Installation of traffic signals was identified through traffic studies from neighboring development projects.

Citywide Bridge Repair

This project is primarily sealing of concrete and bridge decks, as recommended by Caltrans in its bi-annual inspections of City bridges. The inspections result in a report with recommendations for repairs and maintenance.

Traffic Signal Improvements

This project improves traffic signal infrastructure including the procurement and installation of a traffic management system to better manage signal timing, installation of battery back-up systems, controller and cabinet upgrades, signal head replacements, and video detection replacement.

Various Traffic & Pedestrian Safety Improvements

This project improves vehicular and bicycle safety by installing approximately 150 linear feet of metal beam guard railing on the east side of Petaluma Blvd. N adjacent to the Petaluma River between Corona Road and Gossage Ave.

Road Diet Extension Petaluma Blvd South

The purpose of this project is to reconfigure from 4 through lanes to 2 through lanes with bike lanes, and one 2-way left turn lane on Petaluma Blvd. South from E street to Crystal Lane (Roundabout) to provide adequately sized driving lanes. Pavement Restoration FY 19‐20 – Maria

The FY 19/20 project balances preventative maintenance on a number of streets and the full reconstruction a portion of Maria Drive. This approach partially addresses the need to keep more streets from degrading to the point of needing a full and more expensive reconstruction, while addressing one of the streets in the worst condition.

Pavement Restoration FY 18‐19 Sonoma Mountain Parkway

This annual project reduces degradation of the City’s street system through pavement maintenance. Projects consist primarily of seal coats and overlays with associated dig-outs of failed areas and crack sealing, along with ADA improvements to sidewalks and curb ramps.
