Project Description

The proposed project includes alterations to an existing single-family home located at 235 Liberty Street within Oakhill Brewster Historic District and the Residential R3 zoning district. The project includes adding a new attached garage and two new attic windows to the primary/front façade, a gable roof at the rear, and installation of new decorative trim and gable to match historic photographs circa 1897. Alterations to properties within the Oakhill Brewster Historic District are subject to review by the Historic and Cultural Preservation Committee (HCPC) pursuant to the district’s preservation guidelines and standards. This project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), under Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) and Section 15331 (Historical Resource Restoration/Rehabilitation).
