Project Description
The proposed project includes new construction of a hotel rear addition with a height of 34- foot, 4-inch and with a building footprint of 4,330 square feet, a new stair landing, and landscaping improvements to accommodate 20 new hotel guest rooms. The addition would provide the Hampton Inn Hotel with a total footprint of 24,130 square feet and 96 hotel guest rooms. The project also requests a parking reduction to allow existing parking to meet the minimum parking requirement for the proposed expansion. A Zoning Text Amendment would be required in order to have a discretionary tool to allow parking reductions. Major Historic Site Plan and Architectural Review (HSPAR) is required for this property as a hotel and that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the California Register of Historic Resources.
