Project Description

The application involves alterations to an existing two-story single-family residential building located at 245 Howard Street in the Oakhill-Brewster Historic District that are subject to discretionary review and includes information about new construction of a two-story accessory dwelling unit (ADU) that is subject to regulations contained in Chapter 7 of the City’s Implementing Zoning Ordinance (IZO). The residential building’s proposed scope of work includes a complete renovation to its exterior and interior. The exterior work includes a new roof with asphalt shingles, restoration and replacement of damaged/dry rot siding and trim, restoration and new windows, a new two-story rear addition, and new paint. The interior work includes new kitchen and bathroom layouts. The site will also include a new ADU which supports a single-car garage and a flexible space for exercise and storage room on the ground floor and living spaces on the second floor.
