Park Access Improvements

Project Description

Making our parks safe and accessible to all who use them is a top priority. We are excited to share that reconstruction of several park pathways took place in spring 2024 that are designed to improve both the safety and accessibility for those walking, biking, and rolling around our green spaces and places. Pathway improvements were made at:

  • McDowell Park
  • LaTercera Park
  • McNear Park

Upgrades included removal of the existing degrading asphalt and reconstruction of the interior pathways using reinforced concrete which  created a smoother, more durable surface for age and ability friendly travel.
