Request D Street Bridge Opening
Because the D Street Bridge is not staffed full-time we require a MINIMUM of 4 (four) hours notice to schedule a bridge opening between 6:00am and 6:00pm and 24 (twenty-four) hours notice to schedule bridge openings between 6:00pm and 6:00am, weekends and holidays.
6:00 am to 6:00 pm – a minimum of 4 hours notice is required for opening
6:00 pm to 6:00 am, weekends and holidays – a minimum of 24 hours notice is required for opening
30-DAY NOTICE IS RECOMMENDED FOR LARGE GROUPS AND HOLIDAY WEEKENDS
**The Turning Basin is scheduled to be dredged. Work will begin Monday, October 3, 2022 through Friday, October 21, 2022. The Turning Basin (between D Street Bridge and Balshaw Bridge), docks and gangways, river and river access will be closed. Working hours are 7:00am - 7:00pm, Monday - Saturday***

Haystack Landing Bridge
The Haystack Landing Bridge is operated by SMART Rail Operations Center. The drawspan will remain in the open position unless a train is approaching.
When onsite, the Bridge Tender will monitor marine channels 16/9. As appropriate the Bridge Tender will respond to audio or visual signals with the bridge horn.

- large vessel
- planned excursions,
- large groups of vessels
- a specific date & time to transit the draw
- if wind/tide conditions limit your ability to maneuver
