AIRFIELD ACCESS FOR TRANSIENT AIRCRAFT

  • Please check in at the Airport Terminal or contact the Airport Staff for vehicle gate access for passengers and baggage.

 

AIRFIELD ACCESS FOR LAUNCHING AIRCRAFT

For aircraft operators who require airfield gate access to launch their aircraft, the City of Petaluma offers the following options:

  • Airfield Access License
    • 12-month agreement.
    • Requirements:
      • $30 Gate Card Deposit and signed Gate Card Request Form with acknowledgement of the Gate Card Policy and Petaluma Airport Motor Vehicle Safety Manual
      •  Insurance
        • Aviation Liability Insurance: On an “occurrence” basis, including products and completed operations, property damage, bodily injury with limits no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence.
        • The City of Petaluma, its officers, officials, employees, agents, and volunteers are to be covered as additional insureds with respect to liability arising out of work or operations.
      • $7 access fee per day of use – City Master Fee Schedule – Petaluma
  • Tie-Down License
    • Month-to-month agreement.
    • Reserved tie-down spot.

AIRFIELD ACCESS FOR OFF-AIRPORT COMMERICAL AVIATION SERVICE PROVIDERS

For off-airport commercial aviation service providers who need gate access to perform aviation services at the Airport, the City of Petaluma offers the following options:

  • Temporary Commercial Aviation Service Permit
    • Requirements:
      • Fill out and submit a Temporary Commerical Aviation Service Permit Application.
      • Provide proof of insurance that meets the City of Petaluma Minimum Insurance Limits, based on the type of commercial activity (Page 2 of the form).
      • Pay a daily fee based on the services offered:
        • $50 per day for General Commerical Operator (non-maintenance)
        • $74 per day for Commerical Aviation Maintenance Operators
  • Commercial Aviation Services License
  • Safety Exemption
    • If an Aircraft Owner or Aircraft Operator is unable to find an Aircraft Maintenance operator who meets the City’s requirements, and able to provide service, the Airport Manager will provide a temporary permit, which will not be unreasonably denied, for the purposes of permitting unscheduled services for an aircraft, so that it can be safely relocated to another airport for full servicing, or is related to warranty work from an off-airport facility. This exemption cannot be used for scheduled services.
