Upcoming Kentucky Street Upgrades

Introduction

Hello Neighbors,

As you may have heard, we are in the process of making upgrades to the Kentucky Street crosswalk. Upgrades will include sidewalk repairs as well as safety and accessibility improvements. Two trees at the crosswalk will be removed due to safety concerns but will be replaced in early 2024. This work is being done as part of our Downtown ADA  Improvements project.

Due to scheduling conflicts, and in consideration of holiday traffic downtown, we will be completing the project in 2 phases:

• Phase 1 – November 2, 2023: Trees removal due to safety concerns
• Phase 2 – January 2024: Sidewalk repairs, accessibility improvements, tree replacement, and crosswalk painting
